    I don't want to end up like you Gary, I suffer(?) with the same condition as you and two years ago it hit me that at 16.5 stone I weighed too much and through better diet and insulin regime I've managed to bring my weight down to 99kg, not a great loss but it makes me feel better for it. Do need to get more miles in my legs.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Cheers everyone, I have been so lucky in the respect that I regained my love of cycling pretty quickly after jumping on the bike and everything has gone pretty smooth since.

    Once again thanks everyone, It was pretty hard to join a community like this (of people who are either very fit or not hugely overweight) but I have to say apart from one person everyone has been brilliant here,

    Unless you are bi-lingual ie imperial and metric, your weight loss means nothing to people as you give starting figure in imperial and final one in metric units

    Page 3 is an accolade that nearly only Sam Fox would inspire me from before. :lol:
    I'm a hefty rider myself, and trying to loose it. This winter has been terrible (several reasons) but new bike is being put together as I write this and I can't wait to get in some serious miles again :D
