Cheers ITB. You can search for your photos using your start number. For your amusement my start number was 875
What's with the tongue? If Lance did that, Jan would have known he was hurting.

Chapeau to all! I was out walking yesterday on Keighley Moor and in 15 years of hiking in the British wilderness (including mid-winter trips to the Scotland Highlands) I've never felt so cold.

    @AT

That's not my tongue lolling, that's a scalp I'm munching on.

I have to say a sincere chapeau to CJ and John Ginge

They were the two fastest things going up the hills all day, at the start I was managing to hold on to third place in the hills and we were overtaking everything in our path, sad to say I blew up big time trying to keep up with them both (my excuse generator says "two days commuting Bristol to Birmingham with 5.30AM starts didn't help, but that's no excuse in the end) got some training to do if I'm to place well at the North Cornwall Tor in a couple of months.
    "Impressive break"

    That wasn't very kind.

My official time was 5.37 and my rolling time 5.12. Given that my bike was iced up for some of that and I was iced up for all of it, I am actually quite proud.......

So ner ner ner ner ner

You wouldn't understand....! you we're there MAN!!!!!

Everyone who took part yesterday deserves a MASSHOOF pat on the back, the weather was brutal.

Whilst not in the same league as the trio we took our far share of scalps yesterday, in fact my throw rug is almost a full wall to wall carpet

I might also add that Linsen took three well earned scalps on Star Hill which for those of you too soft to venture outside when its cold Star Hill is at the end of the ride and not easy even on fresh legs.

    ITB you are too kind

It was all a big pile of agony, and I'm glad it was yesterday and not today!

I'm doing all my Sportives for the rest of the season in Holland :?

Well done to all! :D You are all absolutely amazing!!!
    Food Chain number = 4

A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights. As you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game

No I'm thinking if you can manage smiles like that, then I don't think I'll be joining you on such events (not without quitting my job for full-time training!)

All insane people spend a lot of time grinning.

I on the other hand was smiling because I had assumed there would be snow and ski lifts on the top of those hills or at the very least some sort of pantheon and lots of blokes in togas.

Actually from experience, some levels of suffering lead to giggling madness. My reactions to suffering go from frowning - gritting teeth - wanting the situation to end - wanting life to end - laughing manically. Maybe it's the onset of insanity.
