Measuring fatigue

Hi all,
I did a couple of long rides over the weekend at a reasonable pace but rather than feeling stiff and tired this morning I feel pretty good.
Is that sufficient evidence that I'm not overly fatigued or should some other gauge be used (resting heart rate or something)? Just wondering whether to go for a ride today or rest up.

Your feeling should be a pretty good guide. Using things like RHR is fine but varies a lot by individual so only real way to use this is to measure in a controlled way regularly and see if you notice any trend. (and even if you do it will most likely confirm how you feel).Martin S. Newbury RC0
