I couldn't get the 705 to work with memory map and ended up using www.bikeroutetoaster.com to create the [delete:maps] course and download as tcx files then garmin training centre to send them to the Edge 705. But then I've got the city navigator maps on the 705 so when I follow a course its got detailed'ish maps on board.--

My 705 wouldn't work with memory map either so I just used the Garmin topo maps instead.0

I know the drawback with the 305 is that the software does not use standard route or track files.... they use their own format which is why there is a difference.
You will need to use a third part conversion,It would appear that this is the same with the 705He that buys land buys many stones.
He that buys flesh buys many bones.
He that buys eggs buys many shells,
But he that buys good beer buys nothing else.

hmmm ive created a gpx file from memorymap and used it on the 705 (manually copied it to the SD card)0

Update/patch MM under the "web" menu in the software (assuming you have MM 5). I had to do this before it would work.
I use MM 5 (version 5.2.7 build 890) to plot my routes and upload it to my 705. I also export the file to my MM at the end and it gives me all the data on the GPS track.Paul0 -
Try BikeHike http://www.bikehike.co.uk/index.html - you can create courses (tcx) from OS maps....0
