Garmin Edge 705 or Polar CS600?

I'm doing the Marmotte next year and have statrted my training and am looking at one of the above to assist me but am undecided which to get. I currently have a basic HRM that cost £25 but its results are unreliable in that it shows massive variances in HR for no reason.

Having read the polar website it seems to me that the CS600 is an all singing and dancing HRM and cycle computer that will do everything I will ever need (and probably more). I love the idea of transferring all the info to my computer for analysis and a record of progress (hopefully).

However, I also like Edge and it's GPS for mapping and planning routes but how does the Heart Rate Monitor part of it compare to that of the CS600. Would I be able to download training programmes onto it and if so how do they compare to those of the CS600's?

Finally, does anyone know how accurate the Power recording of the CS600 is if bought as an extra as this would be another consideration?

Thanks
