Has anyone used Allsports-International's Winter Training Formula and if so how did you rate it ? Was thinking of using it on my longer rides instead of the Basic Training Fuel and Malt Loaf combination I use now.

I seem to remember finding it a bit sickly at first but I've grown quite partial to the butterscotch flavour for long winter rides. A 750ml bottle of that plus an Elevenses bar gets through a 60 mile ride no problems.0

What's it supposed to do that's ground breaking other than the whooly crap about not needing to eat on the bike or having to eat at germ ridden cafes? Don't do either if you don't want to but you don't need this particular drink to achieve those goals.
As someone who doesn't claim to have great deal of nutritional knowledge a protein/carb mix seems more akin to me of a recovery drink rather than on the bike drink so why the need for the protein for on the bike training?0 -
Personally, I notched up 60-70 mile training rides all the time on just a bidon full of cordial drink and maybe a cheap aldi-version of a cereal bar.
In fact, I very really eat the cereal bar. Guess it's because I have got a rally slow metabolisim - whatever I eat that morning (porridge with some honey and maybe two rounds of brown toast again with honey) seems to last me until i get home.
Funny enough, it's only when I actually get back that I have a whey protein/carb recovery drink with some hot semi-skimmed milk as a mixer.
That seems to do the trick for me and stops my legs seizing up the next day.
Personally, all this modern-high-tech drinks/foods etc is a load of nonsense - and I am only 29!!!
My dad used to ride from Liverpool to Anglesey and back in a day on just a few rounds of toast and a bottle of milk - not that's impressive!!!!0 -

But I quite like the Butterscotch flavour - seems to go quite well with cold weather rides. No doubt there are cheaper alternatives out there though.0
