    I bought a Panerai.
  • Alright, I admit I could no longer resist.

    I just ordered a set of Shimano R550 wheels for the bargain price of £80 inc p&p. They should suit my Giant SCR2 pretty well, and might keep my desire for a Lapierre FdJ team bike at bay for a while longer.

    It's funny because I really wanted that Lampre jersey at more than half the price I just spent, but I kept getting a nagging feeling that said I'm not spending my money wisely :roll:

  • Just come into a bit of extra cash so my 4 yr old is buying me a Rapha Lightweight softshell jacket for Christmas.

    MMMMmmmmm. Loadsamoney !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :lol::lol::lol:
  • I've just gone mad, and I think my wife is not too impressed....

    1) Camapagnolo Record Ergo levers
    2)Campagnolo Centaur Carbon rear mech
    3)Sidi Dominator off road shoes
    4)Crank Brothers egg beater pedals
    5)Two back issues of Rouleur magazine

    I presumed that nobody would even consider buying me any of these things, so I thought I'd avoid Christmas morning disappointment at all costs :wink:

    Did you get the free spoke nipple when you bought the wheels? It should be rattling around in the rim :lol:
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    :) Thanks. Don't know if I'll be wearing them on the Ventoux or not...as much as I LOVE Sidis, they aren't the most comfortable for me, so I might just use them for shorter rides. Will probably use my trusty old Nikes for the etape!

    There isn't a Gran Fondo di Lombardia in 09-there is a medio fondo at 140k. Booking isn't yet open

    I have permission to go to it with taking the wife so she can enjoy Como, but don't quite know how to break it that I'm not so keen as it's "only" medio fondo
