Group out on Romney Marsh today

I saw a group of about 8/10 riders out today on the road between Appledore and Brenzett this morning. I wonder if anyone on here was one of them ?
Just curious really as I'd like to join a club/group but can't commit to Sunday mornings, so if that was a regular club run I'd be interested to hear from you

It wasn't the Kent VTTA was it - they do a regular Wednesday ride starting and ending at different pubs in the area.0

Couldn't say if it was them or not to be honest.
I'm not quite old enough to join them anyway, if it was them !0 -
Hi i live in ashford and ride out on the marsh/rye/tenderden area most saturdays - early though!.I am looking for a compadre who might be keen for the odd ride out every now and again.
Might you be interested?0 -
Hi there.
I work shifts and have young children so most week ends are usually non-riding I'm afraid.
This is why I do most of my riding mid week, although on the odd occasion I can do Saturdays !!
Where in Ashford are you ? I'm on Park Farm...0 -
yes i live on Park Farm as well.I'll look out for you!0
-
Small world....isn't it ?
I'm riding about on my old Trek at the moment, but have an Izoard for the fairer weather.
Wasn't you I saw dressed in Disco kit a couple of days ago was it ?0 -
was prob the boys from Rye Wheelers. Worth speaking to Gary (I think thats his name) at spin city he rides. I seem to recall they ride a few times a week.0

Just read this post.
Really small world!! I'm also from Park Farm, and also ride an old Trek but don't have the luxury of having a winter road bike
Looks like we might be able to start our own club!!
Cwardy, I'll join you for a ride, what time do you leave?0 -
Didn't realise there was so many of us on here. How come we never bump into each other, although I did meet someone week before last, he lives around corner from me. Small world.....
Maybe I should start riding with my eyes open.....trouble is, with these bloody speed ramps you can't take your eyes off the road !!!!
Anyway, when the kids are back to school maybe we should try and meet up ?0 -
Here here to the speed ramps.
I'm up for that, though I will have to juggle this around my son's football. He plays on Saturdays but dosen't start until 12.00.
Hope to go out tomorrow morning if it isn't too icy. Anyone interested. Leaving Park Farm around 9.00 maybe a little earlier weather dependant.0 -
How far and where?
I'm on nights tonight but get home around 8ish. May be able muster up the energy for an hour from 9......0 -
I was thinking of riding down to rye and back. Would be couple of hours though?0
-
That'll be a bit too far for me after a night shift. How about I arrange to meet you and join you for half hour then head back home ?
I've never been out after a night shift so don't know how I'll get on.
Name your time and place !!!0 -
No problem, if you want to do the first 30 minute stint this should take you to Appledore. I can meet you at the main roundabout (Park Farm entrance) on the left hand side say 9.00.0
-
Ok.
If I'm not there by 9.05 don't hang around for me - I'm not sure how energetic how I'll feel....I'll be there early if I'm going
I'm Simon btw.....0 -
