How much longer should I leave it?

Had an enforced lay off due to combinations of flu/cough/chest infection etc over the last 6 weeks or so. Seems that I now only have a very irritating cough - starts in the throat but still hurts my chest (although not producing any slimy stuff). It seems that the office air con is the biggest problem - had a few days off and almost better, gone back today and coughing like a 90 woodbine a day smoker. Should I just resign myself to more time off the bike, or would gentle turbo sessions be okay? I'd like to get back out on the road (hate the turbo), but I guess the cold air will prove an obstacle too far at the moment
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Always hard to give such advice as really professional medical advice is best. We cannot know the real state of your health and individual circumstances.
If you still have chest infection problems, I would not suggest training. If it's just your neck/above where the symptoms are, then very light efforts might be OK. Training would want to be very light for some time (weeks). It takes quite a while to get over such things and you do not want to risk prolonging it or going back down that slippery slope.

Cheers - I would ask my GP, but their advice always seems to be "paracetamol and rest" or "antibiotics, paracetamol, and rest". They did surprise me this time around when they also added steriods to the other three.
It looks like I may be off the bike for a while yet - cough has steadily got worse this evening and has now led to head ache and sore throat. Needless to say, my boss will be told tomorrow that if they don't finally get the dodgy air con fixed (they acknowldge it's not working 100% and is blocked in places) I'll be back off sick until they do :evil:Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -
