Starting full time work :(

So I start full tme work tomorrow and have been trying to think of ways to keep my fitness up ready for a full season of racing.
Based on the recent weather, night riding is pretty much out of the question (too much snow!), so I've got a set of rollers from a friend, that plus weekend rides.
Is it worth adding in 30/45mins of running twice a week?
I've tried going out on a run a few times, and I seem able to do it, and it gives a pretty good cardio workout, but are there going to be any benefits to my cycling come spring when chaingangs startup again?
If there aren't I won't bother as it hurts and is tiring!

Well I don't know about racing specifically but I can tell you that I can ride a bike but I can't run well at all so that says to me that cycling doesn't give me much running fitness so I would imagine it will not work the other way round. Also if you haven't got a strong running background then I think the risk of injury would be much greater and that will do nothing for your cycling aspirations.0 -
Good quality weekend rides, with perhaps some gym or turbo work during the week. If you can find a club that goes out both saturday and sunday that might help. You should still be able to get a decent amount of miles in even working full time."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

you can always cycle commute to work and add extra miles on to the route for training (unless you are soft).0

I do 3 turbo sessions, 2 weights sessions, and a long sunday ride, fit in amongst a full time career and wife and child. Helps to have an understanding boss (gym 3 lunchtimes, including a 2 hour bike session) and wife!"And the Lord said unto Cain, 'where is Abel thy brother?' And he said, 'I know not: I dropped him on the climb up to the motorway bridge'."
