Van Halen - Ain't talking 'bout love

Anything from my wife's "Power Ballads" album - they are all truly awful, but so good!

And now back to Earth with a bit of Daydream Nation - Sonic Youth followed by Kenny Rogers with "Just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in" and the Kngsmen with Louie Louie...

Best Louie Louie version was by The Flaming Groovies..... but anything they do is awesome....

I missed this thread completely I think.

Rammstein have done a number on me they are playing in brum 3 days after shrimp No. 2 is due, there is no chance of me being able to get a pass for that one  I'm not a massive fan though, I've only got Mutter, but I love it.

Does liking Paramore for their music and being a nearly 30 year old man count as as a gulity pleasure?

Why has no-one mentioned Sugar Baby Love by The Rubettes? That's a bit of cheesy class is that. I love it. There. I've said it now.

It pops up on the Walkman sometimes, nicely punctuating Seven x Seven (Hawkwind) and Ever More by those Foo Fighting chaps. You can laugh (I do), but it's a top pop tune.

You have my sympathy- got a ticket for Wembley. The new one is an absolute cracker, special edition bonus tracks worth the extra.

Much of what I like is considered 'guilty pleasures' by somebody or other. I'm just not guilty about it.

Hawkwind - Master of the Universe - heavy metal at it's best.
  • Guilty pleasures?

Two from.....................Take That (Please forgive me lord)

Back for Good - a finer 3 minutes of pure pop you'd struggle to find

Patience - I hate myself for saying this but a future classic in the making.

I have to admit to seeing The Pet Shop Boys, live on more than one occasion.

Actually I do have a good excuse, as my other half is a huge fan.

Also, saw Depeche Mode a few years back. CLass

Bring back the 80's thats what I say, when I was young.... young....young!

Depeche Mode are actually very good live, and one of the best live acts I've seen.

Faithless are are a favourite of mine but they don't do many live shows.

This is a really good piece of pop music.

I have many GP's the one on my mind at the minute is "Substitute" by Clout. Craven nonsense but I like it - never told anyone till now

I remember the first time I heard it. I was a wee lad chasing some girl around a roller disco in the early 80's. Most of these songs just remind me of good times growing up, which is why I like a lot of pretty crap 80's music..;-)

Invisible Touch - Genesis. God I loved Genesis when I was about 14. Still have the entire back catalogue on Mp3, not that it gets much play time.

I'd have to disagree with that one too. Brilliant band.....and that particular album does of course have the masterpiece that is 'Wynona's Big Brown Beaver'. Wonder if DDD will get the wrong idea about that one ;)
Les Claypool's doing a London show early next year...sadly not with Tim & Larry.
