It would turn into a big gooey blob! Smash is vile anyway. It is made from ground up snot.
  • ahhhh food talk - Its been ages! I thought you had retired sonic!

I ate hangover food today - A big flatbread from the local greasy caf, bacon, spam, mushrooms, egg and cheese. I still feel crap though. :(

the only way tomatoe is an acceptable hangover cure is if it is used to make a bloody mary.

best hangover cure is sex, no question. followed by a fry up then another 4 hours in bed.

    welcome back sheeps.

Best hangover food is McDonalds - large fizzy drink to rehydrate and get some suger in you, bland starchy food full of salt to get you going again, if you can't face a Maccy D's the following morning you're not ready to sober up  .

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result

cheers jon, its good to be back.
i agree with batch, never have any food before sex, women get a right mood on if you spend half the session trying not to burp fried pork breath onto them, especially if your mrs is a vegetarian!!

Haha, very true! An ex used to be a veggie, and one night I had a scorching hot double chilli burger on the way home form the pub. She wasn't best pleased, I won't repeat what she said!

  • Yeah welcome back Teeth - I trust all went well over there?

More often than not, for me the cure is more beer. Just a can will normally do it. If I'm really bad no amount of food/drinks will make me feel better - Having said that I haven't been really ill through drinking now for a good while. How good am I?

it was very good thanks GT, glad to be back. just wish it wasnt so cold though as i have already got a new bike and i cant be arsed to get out in the cold.
  • COLD!

Me, easyG, StumpyJon, BikerBaboon and another chap all went out on Saturday for a big loop around Rossendal moor.

We did 25 miles and it was absolutely free-heezing.

My chain was sucking like a kid on a lollipop, and my gears stopped working towards the end of the ride, I put it down to having a mechanical. Also Jon's chain/gears were playing up too, we also just thought this was down to the harsh ride.

We got back to Jon's and tried to spray the bikes down but realised that the mud had actually frozen solid! All the mud on the bikes was rock hard, and that caused the cables to freeze on mine and I'm sure Jon's felt it too.

    I've never experienced that before!!!

fair play to you guys, i am definately a fair weather rider!!
  • BigBen, if you like corned beef hash, you need to get hold of an army rat-pack boil in the bag one. They are awesome, and full of enough carb and protein to keep you going all week!

I think they have something in them to stop you ShiXXing as well.... :?
  • i enjoy my own perfected recipie taa :P

Use baked potatoes, chop them into squares and boil for about 5 mins till soft. meanwhile cut the corned beef into squares and cover in lea and perins.
fry the soft potatoes in a little olive oil untill golden brown/getting crispy then add the corned beef.
keep frying until the potato is crispy.

    fanny bob uncle aunt.

i can confirm the army stuff is delish, gives me terrible heartburn though. also, it is the breakfast in the pack it comes with, go figure!!

im always chuffed if i get that particular one, i might even have one somewhere in my kit left over from an excercise.

we also get yorkies in the packs with "not for civvies" written on them ( the normal ones say" not for girls")
  • that awesome, i always figured army nosh would be quite rough...i've tried those "space food" pack and they're disgusting!

in CCF (which stands for "mess about, fire an L98 or SA80, mess about") we were only ever told the food was grim

btw, free yorkies? ......where do i sign? hehe

no, the army rat packs are well good. they have been modernised recently too.

fave meals are the corned beef hash for breakfast, chicen and mushroom pasta for tea with chocolate pudding and sauce for pud.

more recent packs have curry and rice in them and they are suprisingly good, all boil in the bag and like stated above, a full rationpack (3 meals for a day) has about 4500 calories in it!!
  • blimey! thats a fair few calories, but then again i'd be surprised if that was enough

might se if my neighbor can get me some, he's always bringing stuff back....tried to get me to buy an ex-army willys jeep after he'd tought me to drive  (he was an army driving instructor at 1 point, bloody good teacher too) feel sorry for him tho, on a training op he roped out of a chopper onto what he thought was soft snow...it was solid ice and he dislocated both his knees :(
