Looking for a good turbo trainer, any recommendations please, cheers

  • I've got a tacx swing 1460. Had it for a good 5 years now. Don't use it that often as I'm mad/stupid enough to go out in most weathers......!
  • I've got a cycleops fluid 2 trainer which is good. Quiet for a turbo and with pretty good resistance. Also have the riser block, mat and michelin turbo tyre for the most sound deadening I could get and its pretty good!

Willing to sell the whole lot if you're interested. PM me for details

  • I've got a Tacx Satori which is good because it's relatively quiet, has resistance and it folds up and the front wheel stand becomes a handle so it's easy to store/transport.

I've got a Tacx sirius soft gel - just uner £100 from the interweb and does everything I need, it's quiet, it feels quiet flexible when on it and the resistance is more than I ever use - good quality and VFM

    Tacx Sirius here also.

10 magnetic resistance levels from a bar mounted control.
    Quiet,
    Foldable,
    Has some 'give' to it.

    Great for under a ton.
Also if you're interested Tacx have a decent website and regularly publish suggested training schedules based on their models.
  • I've using the tacx satori, I can't compare it to any others as it's the only one I've tried, but I'm pleased with it. It's quiet when used with a conti hometrainer tyre and there's plenty of training programmes on they're website to keep you busy.
It's not the size of dog in the fight but the size of fight in the dog.

The simplest are the best and that looks to be a corker of an idea. :D

Is it easy enough to fit an MTB on it?
