Training schedule

Hello , this is my first post on Bike Radar . I recently discovered this site and I am very pleased that I did so.
I am a 19 year old student that discovered cycling last year. This year I pushed the pedals for around 8000 km(from March to November). I discovered that I am particulary strong on hills but I can't find a constant rhytm on time trials(the treshhold) and I also have constant drops in form.
How can I start a more serious training? Up to this moment I only did touring bike but for the next year I want to start to compete in some races.
I have monday afternoon for training , tuesday ,friday and the weekend. Thursday I have time from 4 pm and for the wednesday from 5 pm.
I have recently bought a home trainer so I can also use this to save time. I have also ordered a HRM , it has to arrive in the next 2 weeks.
What is your reccommendation?

Hi Octav and welcome. If you can get a copy, have a read of Joe Friel's "Cyclists Training Bible" - it is really geared to training for road racing and helps you put together a training plan so that you can peak for your most important events. It also explains some of the science behind the training plans, but not in a way that is too technical.0
