Broken Foot

I've just got a broken foot. So far, the swelling is enough so that a cast can't be made yet, and it's completly non-weight baring.
I'm already frustrated and it's my 2nd day off the bike (it happened with someone falling on it!)
Anyway, I'm worried about muscle loss and weight gain.
I don't want to do too much upper body exercises, any idea what legs exercises I can do?
The leg extension machine is to close to my ankle, so it would interfere with the cast.
