FTP calculation with a rucksack

Any problem with carrying a rucksack during such a test?
My commute offers about the best route I have for doing such a test - quite undulating but nothing really steep or big descents on a big enough section however as it is my commute I will be carrying my rucksack so just wondered if it is possible to do a proper test carrying this?

FTP is about the power you can produce, not how fast you go.
So providing it isn't inhibiting you from getting the power down, then I see no problem with that. The only consideration might be a little less cooling while carrying something on your back.0 -

Thanks Alex. That's what I had thought but thought it best to check before going to the all the effort of doing a test and then finding it was useless to start with. All I have to do now is find a day when it isn't blowing a gale which seems to be all the time at the minute0
