Turbo Trainers Again!!

I am looking to buy my first turbo trainer and cannot decide between the Cycleops Fluid 2 and the Minoura VFS-GR. Does anyone have any experience of these that could make a recommendation as to which I should go for? Are there any alternatives that I should consider in this price range (£140-£160)?

  • I have a Minoura VFS GR. I'm happy with it. Haven't any experience with the Cycleops though.

I’ve just got the Minoura VFS150 GR too. Very happy with it; it strikes me as pretty quiet, it was easy to set up and well there’s not much more to say really... it’s Japanese and that’s generally a good thing. Oh and I have found that out of the saddle cycling is do-able on it. Oh and one other thing, you have to buy the Mag Riser seperatley. So for the time being my front wheel is up on a block of wood and a sponge.

I have the Cyclops Fluid 2. Very happy with it. It's very quiet.

Got a second hand tacx flow for £125 - cant fault it. Power meter is cool, and fairly accurate too.
