Is it though? Ok, Ricco was blindingly obvious but as was pointed out on the comic website, Kohl was held up in the Tour as an example of how "clean" cycling looks.
I think there are less guys doping now however there are many still at it.
What sort of percentage of the pro-peleton do you think are still doping?0 -
more than 50%
but not much more
Tour? 75%
Spain and Italy? 90%0 -

I am sure there are cases where riders are doping and it's not so obvious and haven't been caught yet but if they were all doping, how did Ricco manage to destroy them all up the (can't remember the name of the mountain where he launched his big attack). Surely we can all draw some hope from the fact that a whole group of riders didn't respond and start attacking each other all the way up the mountain at ridiculous speeds.
Also, I am not saying there is not a problem, there still is. I am just trying to look for the positives.
there are measures of doping.
They were most likely on a pre-Tour transfusion, plus myocera.
most only use one or the other.0 -

As bad as that? That's really bad if that is still the case.0 -

You seem very knowledgeable about these things fVP, do you have a link to any sources that give rise to these kind of figures ?

Wow!! those are high numbers. With the new tests for blood transfusions coming in are the UCI going to have too call an amnesty? Just to save cycling?
I mean a cheat is a cheat and he should be kicked out for as long as possible, but if 50%+ of the peleton is juiced up then, how are they going to deal with it? The media vultures will be circling ready to put the final nail in the coffin of pro-cycling.
On the positive side imaging how good the clean 50% feel about them selves? Knowing they can still cut it with all this doping going on.0
