Creak emanating from BB/crank area

    Now there's a ticking noise coming from the same area.

    I was going to say for the price of a square taper BB just change it !!!!

    How old / In what condition are your pedals? Have you a second set you can try?

    My Trek Madone had a creak , almost like a transmission noise only when climbing on certain gradients. I tried my MTB pedals/shoes and hey presto gone !

    Just a thought ..... :roll:
