Riding a 25 TT for first time tomorrow morning. Off at 8:30 any suggestions on what time to eat at, and what should I be eating. Will have a bottle with me on the ride but worried about when to eat before ride and what should I be eating?? Only rode 10's before and dont want to have nothing in the tank half way round

A bowl of museli or similar a minimum of 2 hours before your ride should be enough fuel for a 25, but don't over do it otherwise you'll just feel bloated during the race.

    What about for a 120km ride? :)

I would suggest that you carb load the night before to ensure you have maximum glycogen in your muscles to start with. You will also need to constantly stock up your muscles with gels or energy source of your choice at intervals throughout the ride. Good luck.. Watch your hydration...even if it is pissing with rain dehydration can be a problem.
17 Stone down to 12.5 now raring to get back on the bike!

For a recent long triathlon I was recommended to eat 10 slices of white bread and jam 3 hours before the race. To be honest I got fed up after 9 slices, but seemed to work a treat as I didn't feel hungry throughout the race. Although I did eat half a ham sandwich while riding, a stack of gels and plenty of drink.

This headache isn't helping things. Early night I think.
