Hi,

My bike is currently in for repair at the LBS they've said unfortunately that it will be another two weeks before it is repaired  . I have a cycle ergometer at home which I can use for the 'cycling drug' (although it's not the same as being outside!).

So I was wondering what training plans can I use for the time being, should I be focusing on the Wattage? I have seen some plans that say to keep at 110 for around 20mins for a 'Lactate Threshold' workout, but what other stuff can I be doing?

Thanks

Chris

I presume you are talking about 110 rpm and not watts....110 watts doesn't seem very much.. 110rpm on the other hand is a challenge to maintain for long periods..Make sure that you have enough resistance to make it a challenge or all you will be doing is getting a little cardio workout.
17 Stone down to 12.5 now raring to get back on the bike!
  • A swift, threshold-level walk to your LBS followed by a one-rep max speed test for dropping your credit card on the counter and purchase of a shiny second bike ...

    Then ride home, laughing :D

how about trying some cross training? it is a great way to get a break from the bike and work some other muscles.[/url]
