I can only imagine that you live in Gretna and commute to Carlisle!
I'm with you on this. I'm in Edinburgh and the forum is at risk of becoming a bit of a clique!
Chow, see you later at the pub.0 -

You could ask the mods to set up a new forum under commuting for all non London topics like ancestor worship, scrumpy, incest and so on.Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

I can't see the problem personally. The forum isn't about the where of commuting, but about the how (by bike, natch). There are a lot of people in London (over seven million, plus at least another million each weekday) so it's natural that there should be a lot of cycle-commuters.
Anyway, as a long time lurker, I particularly enjoy reading the London contingent's postings. The fact that some of them appear to meet up for drinks occasionally means that they are more likely to post (often humorous) replies to each other, without fear of offending the other party. Which makes this place fun. I'm all for fun.0 -
It is odd, maybe size of London + a higher ratio of cyclist per head = just swamped by em.
Anyhow, just at the end of the Metropolitian line and outside the Greater London area proper in sunny Watford, but the whole London cycling thing with it's commuter races, daily cyclists down reports, folders fixies and fads, seems 100 miles away.0 -

It is heavily London biased, but that just makes me realise how fortunate I am, not to have to deal with bendy buses, black cab drivers, tw@ts in general.
I am on the Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire borders.0 -

What if sub-divide the forum instead, a bit like the BBC website? For example, one bit could be "London", the other could be "The Wild Provinces".FCN 2-4.

I can't possibly imagine why you would want to relinquish a quaint little fishing town like Berwick upon Tweed, whilst hanging on to Middlesbrough.0 -
