Hey,
With the imminent arrival of my new bike getting closer and closer I've decided to set myself the challenge of TTing next year.
However I know sod all about training programs (either outside or on turbotrainers) so was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of any good sites/books/products etc etc. Hopefully, if I proper beast myself over the winter I'll grab early season glory before everyone else properly wakes up...

For a first shot at a trainng plan, buy Joe Friels cyclists training bible.
There's a lot of negative stuff on here about it but as a first shot to get yourself up and running it is good enough. unless of course you wish to go with some of the advice that will follow this post, get a power meter for £1000 and a coach for a monthly fee who will tell you how to use it.
I'm sure this will get you there quicker but is slightly more expensive than the book!!!
If you are living in the real world though the output of reading the book will be a good solid trainng programme that will get you thorugh the first couple of years. Then you'll be ready to get more serious.
Cue 100 posts rubbishing the CTB and how it is inaccurate, but missing the point about the training programme.0 -
It might be worth reading through this post;
