Hmmm - I think Murder and all of Mike Tysons convictions should have the edge over the others.

Say what you like about Beckham and Armstrong - but they have never killed people have they ?

OJ Simpson is innocent, just as many cyclists have never tested positive.
  • armstrong and tyson at least reached the very top of their professions

beckham didn't. he never won the world cup or the euro championship and was never european or world player of the year. nearest he came was 99 winning the treble.

Wasnt OJ found guilty in a civil case ?

That's like saying you test positive for EPO six times but because the results aren't done in strict protocol, you escape the sanction. OJ's innocent OK, it's thanks to him that I got into American Football and Hollywood Disaster Movies

<<Blood boils>> Totally vile as a person and a player, that he is England captain just sums up everything that is wrong with the game. Horrible, horrible, horrible. And not actually that good.

It's just a hill. Get over it.
  • Guiseppe Farina - 1950 world champion - directly caused the deaths of several drivers while racing by his impatience with backmarkers. Racing in the 30s and 40s was dangerous enought but even in the era Farina was feared.

Plenty of sportsmen have a 'win or die' attitude - not many extend that to their competitors.

Also in motorsport the Whittington brothers and Randy Lanier ran an American sports car racing team in the early 80s, which was a cover for a massive drug smuggling operation. The team was even called Blue Thunder Racing after the speedboat which made the runs into Miami for them. Stories of them are legion, including Mario Andretti holding Randy (I think) by the throat after a collision in the Indy 500 and telling him that if Blue Thunder Racing ever came back to Indy he'd call the FBI on them.

Most involved are currently serving life in jail.

Is this what you are talking about?

"Mr Simpson was arrested last September for allegedly robbing at gunpoint two sports memorabilia dealers in a hotel.

He faces 12 charges including assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and burglary. If found guilty he could face life in prison. "

  • Whilst Joey Barton is undoubtedly an odious wretch (along with far too many pampered over hyped primadonna footlballers with galactic egos) and i wouldn't invite Arnmstrong or Tyson to dinner it's got to be OJ. not only is his behaviour outrageous (whether he's got away with things or not) but he's also, clearly, a moron.

haha ... yeah tex is a smelly little c*nt isn't he?

funny, when he stepped up to take the pen. in moscow I started jumping for joy and opened a bottle of cava (cound't afford krystal !) and poured for me and firneds. they were bemused but I was 100% sure that little 5hitbag was going to miss. hahaha!!!

he's a mediocre player who loves to play up his guts/heart/etc. etc. when actually he's pretty anonymouse for long stretches of most games

So Lance is slightly less hated than a murderer! I can't decide whether that's a good result or a bad one. I hope we get some more votes this evening. It's all a bit nailbiting.

    C U Next Tuesday

............but still don't understand what heinous act Armstrong has perpetrated to fill people with such hate for him. His behaviour towards Fillippo Simeoni was dispicable, but other than that he's played by "the rules of the game" as they stood at the time. Anyone care to enlighten me as to what I'm missing?
