As the heading says,i am after either help or guidance with setting up a KK Pro Trainer,i have just set it up today and had a little try(not the best of days as it should be a rest day) but anyway i found that i was on on the inner ring and half way down the block and the PT was reading the same as when i was on the big ring when using the Elite Turbo.
Is this normal , i must say it felt weird at first but after half an hour it did feel really smooth,i did a wind down test before hand and it took approx 45secs to come to a standstill.
Am i missing something or is this normal.
Any advice or guidance appreciated
Thankyou.

How does it compare to the speed-power curve that KK publish?0

It sounds normal to me. I find that the KK is rather resistant as well, but that's probably because the top end of its range is so high. If the fluid was less viscous, it would feel easier at the low end, but the top end wouldn't be as high, although how many riders on the planet need a trainer that can resist 3000 watts is questionable.
All of this is reasonably irrelevant anyway, so long as you can work a sweat up on it, you can get the training effect that you want. The main problem that I've found is that a single gear change, but keeping the same cadence, results in a large wattage jump, which means that I need to modify my cadence if I'm trying to step up in 10w increments.
Anyway, best of luck with your new toy0 -
