    Most likely everyone with SPDs is illegal at night. It is possible (but unlikely) that your shoes' relectors are legal - but I doubt it. However... what are the chances that plod will pull you over for that.... I hope.

    I was wondering the same thing.

    I have Spec spd shoes and these have reflective heels so I guess thats ok.

    Chances of being pulled over on this point are very slim to non existant.

    I've got spec shoes as well, but pretty sure they do not conform to the legislation requirements as they are not to the BS standard and should be amber / yellow - mine are silver.

    I commuted all last winter in jeans, long sleeve jersey, altura nightvision jacket, buff, trainers (2 pairs of socks) and full finger gloves. That wasn't too bad really, but I prefer being a bit cold than too warm. I guess it might've been slightly foolish because if i'd had to to have stopped for any reason I'd get cold fast.

    This year I might cross the final frontier and wear tights... but is the world ready for that?
