Prompted by the revelation that a certain somebody's measure 27" I had a go at measuring mine. I always thought they were quite impressive, but at 22.5" it probably explains why I'm not a triple Olympic champion & why the wife only has eyes for Hoycules

23" once I got over the shock of the cold metal tape measure.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • I'm struggling to get a measurement with this metre stick...I might have to peel of the skin around the thigh so i can lay it out flat to get the measurement.

26-ish but that's more or less par for an old fat match sprinter.....

Bit of a struggle to get jeans, I think we need a list of thigh to waist dimensions or somesuch..... if you have big legs and a big middle, Marks and the like will sell jeans that fit, it's if you have fat legs and a moderate middle that you really have problems, like never being able to buy assos shorts etc!

I have bought off-the-peg jeans in the US and in South Africa, though, their average bloke is obviously a different shape to here!

If you're as fat as me, all bikes are bendy.

As the tailors from The Fast Show once advised re. tape measures; "Don't forget to warm the end, sir; we don't want to go in cold"

20", no wonder my best sprint is pathetic. They work fine on hills though, the steeper the better.

David, whenever I read your posts you seem to quote a moment in comedy. It's very impressive!

I think you should try applying to replace Dennis Norden or Barry Cryer!!
