Is this a cycle friendly place?

I want to get some hill training under my belt but ideally do not want traffic queuing up behind me. I am cr*p at hills and want to get my legs strong for Ditchling Beacon.

  • Not really, although the hills will give you a reasonable work out, the traffic round
there is S**t, also take into account the on street parking and we are talking a very
    unfriendly cycling enviroment. :(:(

Sorry to sound negative, but I used to commute that way when I worked in the
West End. Highgate (West Hill) might be a better option!!

    Hmm thanks.

Just did a google (how did we ever live without it?) and read about Kentish Town train station to St Michael's church, Highgate.

Well if it's good enough for the Tour of Britain it will KILL me

Think i'll give it ago. Thank god i have a triple

Give Swain's Lane a shot, that should get your legs burning pretty quickly.
