Hi everyone, I'm desperately trying to overcome a hamstring and glute problem which occured on a recent mountain bike ride, so i can advocate stretching in a big way. The problem I have is that I find that once you get a problem, it's very hard to shake it away. This is a reaccuring hamstring problem from last year and with the IOM end to end coming up I'm in desperate need of a fix. Some physio's will tell you to stay off the bike, others will let you do 5-7 mile to keep it from clotting....
I'm a Bad Brainer and generally ride mountain bikes and am a little bigger (95kg) than the normal race whippet/road rider. I'm looking to hook up with a few riders who ride in the Wakefield area of West Yorks; who take riding quite seriously and don't mind getting together for hourly evening and 2-3hr weekend rides. I don't have a fantastic steed but the Trek 1000 i use can be quite brisk on occasion. I've been out once with the Wakefield CC and whilst they were a nice set of lads, but I seemed a little out of place and felt uneasy, like I was intruding. i need to up my fitness levels before September so drop me a line.
