Bike Computers.... Garmin Edge

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with the Garmin Edge 705 with road maps, just wondering what the best computer is... or whether thats too expensive and not really needed....

It's a nice piece of kit - useful for comparing different rides etc. I have not really used it for navigating around up to now, so I guess the 305 would have done just as well for less €'s....

Base map on the 705 isn't much use, save for giving you a rough ideas where you are - you would need to add the more detailed add on maps to get detailed information.
