Has anyone had any experience with the Garmin Edge 705 with road maps, just wondering what the best computer is... or whether thats too expensive and not really needed....

It's a nice piece of kit - useful for comparing different rides etc. I have not really used it for navigating around up to now, so I guess the 305 would have done just as well for less €'s....
Base map on the 705 isn't much use, save for giving you a rough ideas where you are - you would need to add the more detailed add on maps to get detailed information.0 -
