    Personally, I've always thought the Giro to be the best race of the year.

    The Tour is so bloated with commercialism.
    Sure it's a huge spectacle, but as such, it has to deliver and frequently, it doesn't.

    Then you get that empty feeling that comes with August and the ENECO Tour.

    Certainly nothing to do with Astana's absence, as far as I'm concerned.)

    Ummm, no. Everyone's saying it wasn't EXCITING enough. That's different. In fact, it's the opposite of throwing away rose colored glasses because it means they preferred the way it was with more dopers.

    Yup. Helicopter shots in the mountains are pretty spectacular.
