Stage 16 - *spoiler*

The real question is whether these guys actually want to win the race? No-one ever gets huge gaps on Alpe D'huez, so they need time today as well. I had a feeling this stage would end up being a waste of time and it looks that way. Yawn.0

There's a big headwind. Explains why they're staying in a group.0

wow - is that augustyn? go on my son0

Yeah, this stage hasn't been as exciting as I thought it would be...Hipster Nascar: A Blog About Track Cycling - http://www.hipsternascar.com.0

John-Lee Augustyn, him and Schlecky Jr will be battling it out for yellow in a few years time I tell ya. Two youngest riders in the race?0

Holy crap, JLA  He was lucky.0

That Cime bit is horrible, the last little loop around the top of the pass.
It's all of half a K or so but it's sooo steep and so little air.
I had to stop last year, cough my lungs back in and then continue.0 -
The GC riders will try to make F Schleck panic0

Schleck better hope he can put in some MAJOR time on alpe d'huez on Evans because with less than 2 minutes, he's not beating evans.0
-
great day for Evans0

Anyone know what happened to Vande Velde?0

Menchov loses 31 seconds :!:Rich0

Big George looked gutted when he crossed the line - missed out being in the mix by just 24 seconds.Rich0

lost a little over 2mins (i think I saw him listed as 3:15 down on GC), amazed he managed to limit his loses he was doped along way from the summit
I think you mean dropped! :P
It was impressive that he limited his losses that much but he's gonna have to do more than follow on the next stage now.0 -

Evans the real winner today, doing nothing but staying safe.
Menchov now over a minute back, should have had a go. CSC tried nothing at all.
VdV the only other loser. The ITT threat diminishes.
They'll find it hard to gain sufficent time on just the Alpe.
