I like Rapha stuff, but mostly for the same reason.
What about the old Peugeot one worn by Messers Merckx and Simpson? Or the combination jersey that Hinault wore on the Alpe in '86?!?0 -
I do own both old & new versions of my club's strip, but for sheer value for money versus fit, quality and comfort - plus it's plain blue so no pose-value accusations can be levelled at it - my Bicycle Line short-sleeved top is probably favourite.

My favourite is probably becoause of its rarity value in the UK - bought it on hols in Australia last year and yet to see anyone else with one. Maybe not the most tasteful but I like it!

On other days, this is the only yellow jersey to wear - seems to make other road users smile when they see it!

Thanks for that link - I see they do an Isle of Skye Brewery jersey, too. As it happens, I've one of their T-shirts at home!

I have just sent for one of these, as my old plain red thing was worn out. If anyone asks what it all means I can say "Cheese Grommit"....

I'll out myself as a Rapha tart. I really like their jerseys. I have a couple, but my favourite by far is:

One of my fave jerseys, followed by Killers', then Rolling Stones Racing, oooh, and either of the Metallica ones (Master of Puppets?Ride the Lightning), plus the Frog Pyle one is pretty good too - but I can't not like the Stones 40 Licks one, or the AC/DC High Voltage or For Those About to Rock jerseys. Then there's the Coors beer shirt, and the Dragon Wagon one and not forgettting the Lord of the Ringz one either, but I nearly forgot about the Stones Urban Jungle One
I've got a bit of of a Primal habit, as you may have noticed and to be completely honest I love all of them 8)
(But I would like a Crankenstein one though)0 -

Classy, but just not me! As a rock band guitarist/front man I like the WOW factor of Primal jerseys, plus it makes non-cyclists look at you in a different light...you mean you can ride bikes AND like rock music...cool 8)0

I really like the "Cat in the hat" CSF Navagare kit, especially with the stripey arm warmers. But having more money than sense means that I won't be buying the kit any time soon.
I bought that kit. I have loads more money than sense, and Im pretty poor.
One of my clients on a ride said "oh you look just like a giant tree frog"- :oops:Fitter....healthier....more productive.....0 -
Still got a Panasonic jersey which I bought in the late eighties. Haven't a clue how its managed to survive for nearly twenty years !
Definately my fave as my wife hates it for some reason and it really winds her up when I drag it out from the back of the drawer. One of these days I'm sure she's going to bin it rather than wash it.0 -

Dug out my old Castelli TDF combined jersey (as mentioned by TakeTheHighRoad on Pg3) last night. It is still in good condition but a little snug, I was shocked I am not the same size in my late 30's as I was in my late teens. The Mrs thought I looked stupid and forbade me from going out in it. Obviously I went out anyway. On reflection the top is a bit garish, I looked like a tightly packed sack of soft spuds and the wicking qualities were non existant.
So thanks to this thread I had a very uncomfortable but nostalgic 1.5 hrs in the saddle.
Don't think it will be replacing my current tops, but it gave the neighbours a laugh!Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
I liked the Z team jersey too... PDM was quite good.... but my two faves;
