I started asking this question last week and within an hour it had vanished. Maybe it was too boring. However I'll try again.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE CYCLING SHIRT AND WHY?

Depends.
In Winter it's my ancient (20 years old I think) Karrimor Kalahari Pertex/fleece which has convenient pockets, is quite showerproof and cosy. In Summer it's my only full zip top which happens to be a Club one or one of my New Zealand 2000 First to the Sun shirts.
Tops seem to last forever. I've got some acrylic ones that are perfectly wearable and about 30 years old. Shorts are a different matter

Club jersey. Can't see the point in dressing up as some pro meself.0

Hi there,
I really like the "Cat in the hat" CSF Navagare kit, especially with the stripey arm warmers. But having more money than sense means that I won't be buying the kit any time soon.
I quite like the current Milram kit too.
Cheers

Either my Keswickcycle.com team kit....
Or....
The Red Saeco kits from the Cannondale days. The White Legalize my Cannondale ones are pretty damn cool too!
When I was first riding, I used to always wear a team Z kit......0 -
Probably this...
Simple but with an aesthetic quality about it. Very comfortable too.
Not entirely sure why but I also rather like the look of this.
Quality of the finish isn't so good though (zip is like a razor so usually have to wear a base layer with it).0 -
That campag shirt is awesome. What a cool bit of kit.
When I was a kid I used to wear a Z team kit - I wore it to the start of a Milk Race TT in Scarborough in the late 80's and the event organiser spotted me and got me up on the ramp and helped set all of the riders off - but he insisted they all signed my autograph book first!
The good memories make the Z team kit my fave!!! (even though I was only 6!)0 -

Oo choices, choices. Can I say 3?
Campag Racing Carbon SS (http://www.parker-international.co.uk/P ... 5d145879c9)
Ibex Fausto (http://www.alwaysriding.co.uk/alwayssho ... cts_id=170)

I'd agree cycle shirts are generally reasonably hard wearing. But with one exception, I had a variant of that campag retro shirt. The lower colour section was a separate panel. I yanked it over my head after one ride (and many washes admittedly) and was left with top half in my hands.
If you want to make a team shirt statement, then for a rider of my abilities, this is the only the choice.

There's only one for me: http://www.twinsix.com/gear/gear_t608t21.htm - never has a shirt said more about the rider0 -

I like this, but if you wear it in Italy you get lots of people coming-up to you and asking where they can buy one (in Italian, mine is a bit limited, and trying to explain I bought it in the UK from Prendas ...)

I wonder if the Italian forums are full of riders craving after 1991 Manchester Wheelers jerseys....0

The short sleeve Sky Blue one at the front.
Got a white long sleeve one when they first came out....then they brought out the Celeste and Sky Blue versions I but couldn't face paying another £86 for one.
A couple of months ago I spotted an eBay shop selling Campag clothing and he had the colour and size required for only £40....tis lovely!!! 8)I'd rather walk than use Shimano0 -
Got myself a rather nice Iron Maiden, don't walk, ride, top from Primal sport.
Top clothing & top service to match
Other favourite kit is my Moser Sport by Simoni, shorts & top which I bought from the Shop just North of Trento four (is it really that long ago?) years ago.
Going back there in a week,so may reinvest in some more kitso many cols,so little time!0 -

Personally, as trade teams go, it's either 'Z' as has been mentioned before - (though I'm not entirely sure why)
Or, for irony value, I've also got one of these (well, something similar):
Interesting to see nobody's bigging up Rapha... I rather like that (though it's probably because I can't afford any of their kit).0 -
plain black lusso Full zip Very good value great performance Understated ,white pipping Looks great with black shorts0
