...and if they realised this was the case and so decided to play it safe and drop down to 45% then this may be flagged up as suspicious too... Having said that i think some people are probably quite experienced at keeping their percentage just under 50%0 -

That was Di Luca not Ricco.0 -

That was Di Luca not Ricco.
No, that was Di Luca, and Ricco, Piepoli and Mazzoleni. Di Luca was cleared, the other three were just kinda forgotten about.0 -

Something wrong with that ?0 -

He used to get suspended all the time in his yoof for his HCT.
But all things being equal, shouldn't a skinny guy who a haematocrit of 51% rip everyone legs off in the mountains?Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

Exactly. If he didn't the finger of suspicion would once again point (correctly IMO) at the beefy trialists who haven't got a TUE.
Maybe that targetting of FC explains why he was beaten by SS and KK in the ITT?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Perhaps his Dad is behind all the picking on Ricco.
I read today that Ricco’s father is reputed to have said, he’s “never ever met anyone else with such a repulsive character”.0 -
Could you please send the reference so i can disseminate it?Dan0

Thanks Ian, I actually read that mag but must have missed it.Dan0

Easy on the artistic licence chaps. His dad claims he once told Ricco' "I've never met anyone with such an ugly personality...."0

Ned Boulting reported that one of the riders "randomly" tested after today's stage was Stefan Schumacher.Le Blaireau (1)0

Damsgaard, the man who looks after CSC's testing isnt happy with the tour so far. He thinks that if the testing was done properly then 10, 20 or maybe 30% of the riders would test positive

Interesting. I don't think all is as it seems because if you work out the average speed for the race this year so far and look at the route it's a bit eyebrow raising. But lets see what happens in the Alps.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

aparently not as impossible as you beleived......
according to Jerome Pineau blog, Ricco has been doping from 15 onwards0 -
Yeeeears back I read something about the blood level count of Italian juniors.
Before EPO was around the figure was X%.
After EPO was around - the figures had magically jumped.
Where do they get the money to do this kind of thing ? Is it grass roots maybe ? Ex pros preparing the juniors for their races ?0 -
Yes, it is interesting. Especially as French riders seem to have been largely ignored.
Maybe the ASO fear that mass testing might open up a can of worms, that might prove a bit rich for French digestive systems?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

It also appears that ASO/FFC/WADA have a fair idea of who is doping and that the targeted testing is beginning to hit the targets.We\'ll kick against the darkness \'till it bleeds daylight0 -
well. ricco has now been charged and for using a poisounous substance...my hunch is they will throw the book at him? I hope so. Gianetti and Piepoli should be in the cells just now...they are liars. Gianetti, Bruyneel, Yates... not one of them should really be in charge of a team if we are honest0

Anyone feel a tiny bit of sympathy for him ? apparently he started doping at 15, maybe even younger, makes you wonder who supplied and financed the doping products. If he grew up surrounded by these kind of people is it any wonder he ended up in this situation. Really hope someone else other than the cyclists gets implicated in this. What kind of people supply 15 years olds with doping products ?0
