Ah yes, I got mildly damp yesterday morning and proper wet in the evening - I had to do my fierce grin and mad eyes combo but I had fun.

Only PITA was that I forgot to put my winter shoes on. Even with full guards its impressive how quickly my summer shoes fill up through the mesh area over the toes...
It's amazing the number of times that making a start cycling, in the hills, etc when first thoughts are to stay indoors results in something fine that you are glad you didn't miss and will remember for a long time.

I totally agree with that, particularly in the hills. Climbing, walking and skiing some of the most memorable days have been when we've said "let's just pop up there for a look", the weather has cleared and your left in peace in wonderful conditions.

Of course ther have been plenty of times when you get up there and rapidly conclude to sod that for a game of soldiers. But so what?

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

Of course this is only a partial quote, he then went on to say

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step - and a load of bitching and moaning about how far it is and how "it looks like it might rain a bit later".

I don't frickin care! Now eat your rice and let's kill all the teachers"
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?
