    I would point out that he seems very popular with his team mates. Justv because he isn't effusive in Eurosport doesn't mean he doesn't thank them.
    George H was fantastic yesterday. It was nice to see the quick step car giving him a drag back into the peleton.
    It was funny to watch the short shrift the barlowworld rider who tried to slow the pursuit got.
    Finally, though I love Cav, I wish that the French lad had manageed to hold on. What an effort. It's people like him with afforts like that which make the Tour and it's history so compelling. I hope he gets his deserved recognition and a good contract next year.

    Full marks to Cav on his interview shown tonight on ITV4 when he was back at the hotel. Came over great! Classicly funny when his mum called his mobile and he says "mum, i'll call you back, i'm on TV". Certainly helpful in getting more people to warm to him.

    He's French. He's probably negotiating a 1 million euro payrise as we speak.
