    It's not irrational to fear heights - they're really dangerous.

    However, anyone with a fear of widths is probably in need of help.

    i have heard of people being afraid of fat (wide) people, it probably has a name... Cacomorphobia... just found it on google.

    Still terrifies me, can't look into swimming pools or those big tanks you get at aquariums

    Pathetic, really, especially as I can swim well

    Have to be careful to hide it from the kids

    It's awful when you have to hide it! I was re-acquainted with my fear of cows this weekend when me and my Missus has to walk through a country gate that was being closely guarded by a herd of cows. I strode manfully towards them with arms outstretched gently asking them to move which they (thankfully) did. I looked really manly but was utterly sh*ting myself. A cow is bloody huge to a city boy like meself... Brought back memories of me and my Uncle's dog being pursued through a field in Wales by a charging bovine mass (at least that's how I remember it).
