two weeks off...

hey folks,
just had two weeks off the bike (hols & getting hitched) unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of time or opportunity for training in this space of time... funnily enough :-)
Anyhoo.... I need to get back in top form for a 3 day race event in two weeks.... did one ride yesterday that felt like I was just clearing tubes and getting familiarised with the bikes again and then club run today that went fairly well.... although I seemed to be lacking in top end stuff and some endurance on climbs...
any folks got any targeted training that will help me get back to top form?

Hi there.
It's the top end speed that goes the quickest. Fortunately it comes back the quickest too...
If you've already built a solid base, than that should not be as badly affected by your time off.
So I'd prescribe some shorter, or sprint intervals - depending on what your goals in the race are. Don't go too hard too close to the event though.
Cheers, Andy0
