2010 Tour de France - Riding the route...

Hi
I have made the decision to ride the route of the TdF in 2010 riding each stage the day before the pros come through. If all goes to plan I'll roll into Paris the day before them and can then put my feet up and watch how it should be done. To do this I intend to guide my training over the next 2 years exclusively using power measuring technology, indoors using a CompuTrainer and outdoors using a PowerTap.
The reason for this posting is just to let you good and knowledgeable people know I'm doing this and to let you know that I'll be regularly (most days) posting my experiences, trials and tribulations to a weblog which can be accessed using the link in my signature. On the left of the weblog page are links which includes one to my TrainingPeaks training summary page which will let you know how I'm getting on.
Any advice, ideas, or encouragement would be welcomed, I've wanted to do this for a long time and have decided 2010 is the year for it, I'm going for it 100%. I've been training for some while and recording my progress, I've just not shared the story until now.
Best regards to all

If organised well this is some thing I would be interested in doing.
Maybe with a few people it would be easier to organise accomodation and support for the trip.0 -
I agree and I have been thinking of doing this..If you don't mind can you keep me informed if you want company.0

Hi
Keep your eye on the weblog, that's where I'll be putting information about progress. TBH I'm not planning on organising a trip for a large group but am planning a trip for at present myself and a couple of guys I cycle with. The best I can do really to avoid it all getting out of hand is to let people know what is happening and when and then if others are going to give it a go a group of riders could rendezvous at the stage start points each day. Be a nightmare to organise something like this for a large bunch unless you were a tour operator, and they would charge thousands.
Watch the blog, and thanks for your interest, if you want to PM me your email address I'll build up a mailing list.
Cheers.

Hi
Thank you for the good wishes, why not follow the blog, see how it shapes up, and then ride part of it and I'll ride behind you
The blog will in time detail departure times for each stage, anyone who wants to join up will be welcome.
