Training plateau in climbing

I have a local 8 mile climb to where I live and I use it often just to gauge how I am developing as I can time exactly from the start to the top. However, for the last 8 months I have been stuck at roughly the same time every time. I have been training on other rides and I have tried the climb at a steady seated pace, intervals and seat/stand...but I always end up at the same time...around 55mins. Is there anything anyone can recommend to break through this? The good news is I am not getting slower....but neither am I getting faster. Maybe that is just as good as it gets and I should settle for that....
Ideas anyone??
Thanks

When our performance/fitness plateaus, hopefully it's at the desired level.
However when it's not, and assuming we are healthy and well fuelled, then we need to change something in the training pattern/focus to induce incremental fitness changes.
What needs to change depends on a number of things.
It might be that recovery is needed, or maybe more volume, or a change in interval type or sheduling of the training pattern, or intensity in training or the focus of training needs to be shifted and so on....0
