My trainer as said that for the week before I race i should eat
Less than 20% fat of total calorie intake, 50% carbs and 30% protein
Now then, does anyone know how I can find out the fat, carb and protein content of the food that I eat?
Thanks

I don't really eat packaged or prepared food hence why i asked,
what what your advice be on the composition of my diet?0 -
7-10g of carbs per kg of body mass per day (assuming a pre race diet loading). Protein maybe 15% of that. Fat - don't care as long as you are eating a normal healthy diet.
But don't take my word for it:

check out www.calorie-count.com provides pretty exhaustive lists of food fresh, packaged and fast.

Fitday is a very good product if you are a nerd like me. (I use the downloaded program which is quite cheap and only drawback is the US food db)

I track everything at weightlossresources.com
It has a huge UK food database and the ability to set loss or maintenance targets. You can also add your calories burned off through exercise too.
It's a pay service (one or two days free) but it is worth it for me. The numbers do not lie.0 -
A free website I have started using for the past few days is:
http://www.fitday.com
As I said free to register and seems really good to me.0
