Ok I have just ordered my first Turbo Trainer from our friends at Wiggle.
Still not light enough after work to ride and easter looks like it could be a washout so I thought a Turbo would enable me to keep going.
So then all you experienced Turbo riders , any pointers or advice to help to get me started?

To get the most of riding the Turbo it is best is not to treat it as an alternative to riding on the road but as complementary to it. IMO most of your riding is best done on the road.0

Unfortunately road riding isn't always an option and anyway there is a lot to be said for the turbo, but one of them isn't 'fun'. Time does seem to take on a new speed so you need to keep yourself entertained and have a training goal. If you can break the session into smaller chunks (even as small as one minute) it will help you get through it. Listen to music, or get some training dvds or print off a plan you can find on the net. What you actually do depends on what you're trying to achieve.0
