Bike Experiment

I recently put myself forward to help with a disatation. I had to cycle along and do sprints on a machine whilst they measured my heart rate, power and cadence. The test was to do with how effective sports drinks are. I did my 15 sprints easily and was feeling fine, I'd heard from other people it was pretty tough and I guess it wasn't too easy. However during the cool down I had to give a blood sample. A small cut on finger nothing much. As soon as the tech took the blood i started to feel sick, and pretty soon I had blurred vision and feeling really hot. It took about 20 mins for me to feel normal again. The guy said it was a lactait build up, maybe, I've feel dizzy jumping off the bike after a ride but nothing like that. I'm keen to do the next 2 tests to get some infomation back about how I am, however I really hated the experiance I had after. I've fallen off the bike and cut myself before and not felt that. Any ideas on what I could take after the test or anything I can do to stop myself feeling so bad?
Cheers.
Cheers.

I did a couple of these studies for my mates when I was at uni. I had a similar reaction after having a small bit of blood taken the first time (before any exercise). It's just shock. The subsequent times - 10 in a week, before and after an hours biking at a given exertion level - were much better.0

It certainly wasn't lactate build up. As suggested it was most certainly the thought/result of having a small blood sample taken.0
