there is a route home form work that i can do, it is 25 miles long and has 700 metres of climbing, how often should i do it?

    Everyday home from work - It can only make you stronger....No training basis behind this just an idea...
  • As above, but every 3 week cycle, treat the climbs, and the complete route as time trials.
    IOW, at the end of the 2nd week in the 3 week cycle, climb the hills as hard as possible, and recover between the climbs.
    At the end of every 3rd week, use the entire route home as a time trial, so ride hard all the way, but save some energy after each climb for maintaining a fast pace between the climbs.
    Keep a record of your times, and use these times to guage your progress.

    Use time at the weekend to practice harder/longer climbs also ; )
