    No you can get the shamal ultra's in titanium colour!! Honestly there the mutts nutts get a pair!! Beat ksyriums 10 times over!! They flex far to much and everybody has got them!!!! Do the right thing :wink:

    they're 60g lighter than shamal ultras (1335g vs 1395g, both listed weights). On the shamal's side:

    much cheaper
    more aero
    better hubs
    proven design

    The mavics are the most overpriced wheel on the market after the fulcrum racing racing lights

    Its not all about how the light the wheels is! You can have the lightest wheels in the world but give it big licks on the hills and it may not perform and feel soft and flexy!! Its all about power weight ratio. Maybe im being slightly bias as i have a pair of shamal ultra's,but i have used other wheels and these out shine the lot by a big margin!! But supose its personal choice at the end of the day. But how many mavics do you see on the road???

    I just got a set of campag Shamal's in the titanium colour, very nice :D very smooth and spin up very quickly, these have replaced a set of Mavic Kysirium SL's , I didn't have any issues with the Mavics, but the Campags are a bit lighter ( 1395 grms vs 1535 ) and I think the ride quality is better, nothing i can put my finger on for definite, they just somehow "feel" better.

    Plus I think the G3 spoking on the rear wheel looks so trick :P and at 1395 grms not many wheelsets are that much lighter really.
