A question: if someone were to continually question your truthfulness, threaten you with expensive lawsuits and make threats to your livelihood when you felt you were ibn the right - what would you do? Wouldn't you come up for air occasionally? Notice Ms Andreu does not threaten Mr Armstrong with lawsuits - perhaps she should take him to court and see who commits perjury - she makes her points in a public forum where they are free to be - and have been - rebutted. But I can't imagine Mr Herman did that for free...

Because of the landscape of doping in the 90s it would be impossible to asterisk Armstrong's wins - and where would that stop? Though the irony of the TdF being awarded to Bassons or Simeoni would be somewhat delicious. His wins must stand. But there's no reason to suggest that his legacy - built on lies as it is - should not be open to intense scrutiny.

All of this assumes that the "Betsy Andreu" and "Tim Herman" on that forum are who the claim to be. It may all be the febrile ramblings of some 14 year old techno-geek and a balding & pony-tailed conspiracy theorist.

    Much like here, then.

In any case, I wouldn't expect to see Betsy taking LA to court. In order to make the case stick, she'll probably have to destroy the reputation of her husband as well as several other US riders perceived to be the new saviours of cycling

The point is that she's been given the chance to answer the questions. Directly. And in each case has come up short. Read the testimony. As someone who spends their life analysing these things, I find Betsy's ability to make 2+2=5 quite astonishing.

Iain, if evidence exists that Lance took PEDs in the past, I want to know about it. I think it is extremeIy important. It determines whether he will go down in history as one of the greatest athletes of all time or a $$$$$$$ $$$$$. (his lawyers are probably monitoring this.) I have no sympathy for Ullrich BTW.

But be sure to be ready to take a few leaps of faith with what Walsh says. It's a good book but he does sometimes gloss over things which don't support his argument.

The funniest thing about From L to L is it actually starts out quite sympathetic towards Lance and co.

Stolen Underground (aka Matt DeCanio) has an online petition to investigate Lance Armstrong for alleged perjury. His site has an advert for LeMond bikes!

TBH- just looking at that thread I get the impression that she is kind of obsessed...

I totally understand why Lance's lawyers would push in- what she's saying is libelous and it's fair that they rebutt her allegations. I'm sure she can handle "Aggressive" lawyers judging by her comments and attitudes.

Don't have much sympathy for her with her anecdotal evidence and overly emotive language to make up for her total lack of solid evidence.

Whether or not Lance is innocent or guilty I don't think she is where we should be looking for answers.
