    Toolbox! How common.
I have a fully equipped workshop at my disposal.
Regularly used tools on one wall, and specialist tools on the next. All set out on shadow boards.
All other tools that are'nt regularly used are kept in Parktool wall mounted cupboards with roller shutters to keep them safe.
Another corner for power tools, with a bench vice, wall mounted maxi bins for spares, chest drawers for small parts, and 2 Parktool bikestands with tooltrays, and oil pans to perform fork servicing.

We're currently having a new floor fitted, so I'll post pics when it's finished.

At home though, I've got a Minoura stand, and a 3 tier toolbox with all the standard Parktool home mechanics tools, and a few custom made bike specific tools.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

now why does that not surprise me  My roll cab lived in the back of my van for about 6 months last year! I would love a fully kitted out workshop. but i can just use the shop one if needed.

I couldn't resist the urge to tell you how good it is to work for a top notch employer. (it was meant to be "tongue in cheek", of course.)
Steve, (the shop owner) used to work for PRODRIVE as an engineering manager on the Ferrari GT and Ford Focus RS projects, as well as developing the antilag for the current Subaru WRC car.
He beleives that under tooled is under prepared. (which is great for me, and his buisiness, I guess)

I had more tools in my home kit, than my ex employer supplied. (apart from frame facing tools) and I often ended up bringing them in to complete the odd job.
I'm aiming for a full SNAP ON mobile kit similar to yours Nick, but I guess that'll take a whole lot of begging and pleading on my part.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Couple of hammers, me teeth...and of course our favourite - the 9mm spanner. Thank Shimano for that one.
  • I have just got a rather big Stanley box with a drawer in the top - Halfords - holds all of the essentials

I've got a Stanley toolbox and one of those red metal boxes with lots of tiny draws for bolts, washers and things.

My main bike kit is a trackpump, multi allen key tool, chain whip, monkey wrench, cassette and crank removers and most importantly a wooden mallet.
