Well I suppose I'd better own up. My GF in the states has bought me the Carbon Zaskar Pro (or so she says!), will get a good look at it when I visit next month (hopefully) and ship it back!0

Its a huge gift, not sure how she can afford it! Its paid for and at the shop. Might get a refund though, she is skint! But what can I say?!0

Thanks would be a good start
That is such a nice thing for her to do for you - sounds a top girl - not many would get their bloke a gift like that!
You may offend her - talk to her about it before getting a refund matey!0 -
Funny you should ask about these two bikes since I know I-driver and i have the stumpy CF hardtail for awhile now. Both are fantastic bikes and super solid. Geometry are pretty similar, standover on GT is less. Differences i see visually are; the front and rear triangle of the GT looks beefier while the spesh bottom bracket area takes the win there. I can only comment on how the stumpy rides since i-driver's bike is too large for me to test accurately but when I did ride it, it felt solid and smooth. My stumpy handles great, has zero flex when hammering and so smooth that it made me drop my full suspension bike. Granted the trails here in southeast texas are relatively flat so we really don't require full suspension. What it comes down to is price and personal preference. I've always been a spesh fan but if they didn't have a CF hardtail then I definitely would buy the GT. Hope that helps.

Emailed Merlin and they sent me these:
The pics came with this text:
Hi,
I attach some pictures, the frames are very limited in numbers at the moment and depending on demand we may offer it as a production build in the future. Its very light, even with relatively unfancy parts and kit.
